What is the greatest meal you ever had in your life? Was it for a special occasion?

Any meal that I eat at Red Lobster used to be my special meal. I love lobster and we had lobster there after we got married.

I like any kind of seafood but it is so expensive to eat at restaurants. I actually started liking king crab legs better than lobster but I will take either one.

I remember some great meals from my younger days but now one tends to more analyze the consequences of having a sumptuous one to the extent not to indulge in them! However, I enjoy buffet meals to sample the variety - siva

My husband and I love going to buffets as we like variety. The only bad thing about them is we are not allowed to bring home any left overs.

@ramapo17 I know that is the rule everywhere. And also not to waste, so we should be careful what we put on our plates - siva

@Shiva49 I know what you mean. Some people pile the plates so high and I know there is no way they will finish it. I go up many times and take small courses. I will go for soup first or salad, After eating it I will go up again. I like it better this way as the food stays hotter and I am getting exercise walking back and forth.

I love buffets as long as the food is labeled. I hate having a mouth full of something I really disliked.

The greatest meal for me is the meal I cooked/prepared myself at home. Buttered crabs/prawns with oyster sauce.

A greatest meal does not have to be very rich to me, but when feeling hungry, extremely hungry, some ordinary food can be great already and I would think it is tasty. But when feeling full, even if it is delicious, it does not attract me as much. So my definition to the greatest meal might vary. Thanks a lot for this nice discussion. Have a good day, my dear friend.
