I feel bad for them not to stand when playing the National Anthem, as it is considered a great honor for the players to show the highly respect for their own country. And only those who win the game can have this honor offered. It is simply a shame for them not to respect their own country. In fact, it is a very exciting moment when the National Anthem is being played because of the players having won the match or game. Everyone should be proud of this.

First of all, it is not against the law if someone refuses to stand and honor the flag. Second, I think its wrong and I wouldn't do it.

I think it's disrespectful, but it's also their constitutional right. We can't talk about our rights and freedoms out of one side of our mouth, and then censor those rights and freedoms out of the other side of our mouth. I don't like it, but it is what it is. I think there are other, more serous and pressing issues happening in our country that we need to focus our attention on instead. For better or worse, one thing that has come out of all this National Anthem issue is that people are taking an interest again in our country and what it stands for.

I have seen anti-Trump immigrants protesting by burning the American flag in front of TV cameras.

I think people are over reacting to it. We show respect their right to stand, sit, kneel, or salute if that is what they want to do. Whether we like it or not those veterans fought for their right to do all or none of them. I feel like we should be focusing on more serious things like a lot of those veterans who are being cheated out of their rights and other things they deserve. Maybe worry about the ones who ACTUALLY fought for the country and not a flag that didn't do anything or give its life for us. Yes it is a symbol of our country, but that doesn't mean it actually did anything for us. Just saying we have more important things to worry about in our country than if someone stands or not for the flag. Agree or disagree but what they are doing is perfectly legal and we have too many other illegal things going on than to worry about something that is legal.
