I just ordered something online for Christmas so my Christmas shopping has officially begun. I have a long ways to go but I have to start somewhere so I figured today would be the day. Now I am excited for it to arrive. So who else has gotten an early start on their Christmas shopping? Did you have a lot of people to buy for?

I need to do that too. I only get paid once a month and won't have a lot of online income this month due to the carpal tunnel or whatever it is. I don't know if all my peeps have even stated their wishlist, though. Good for you for doing it early!

I bought my first gift about 2 weeks ago. I have some things in my saved cart on Amazon, I will probably get busy right around Halloween and hope to be done by Thanksgiving. I don't have a lot to buy for these days, only 1 child left at home. The older kids get gifts, but not as many. The grand kids get lots of gifts from Meemaw. I usually buy for the person I work for and possibly his family, depends on who I'm working with. It has been different the past 3 years and I only have 1 co-worker. I do bake and make chocolates for a few people and they are wrapped into a beautiful gift basket.

Back when I was still giving out Christmas gifts, I usually start buying gifts as early as August and I finish my Christmas shopping around October. Nowadays, I just give good vibes and cash for Christmas!

I usually only start in December then I am stressed up until the stores close Christmas Eve. I don't want to to that to myself this year so trying to get it done early if at all possible.

@Happy2BeMe Shouldn't all those people be home on Boxing Day opening up all those boxes? I should have the stores all to myself!

@Happy2BeMe Takes away a lot of stress and since the money is divided all year round, you dont feel it as much,it`s not the same as giving $500 all at once

@Happy2BeMe Here in the Philippines , 13th month pay ( equivalent to one month ) is mandatory for all employers to give to their employers . Bonus is not mandatory , it depends to the company to give it or not . But then here in our company , we get our bonus 1 day before Christmas holidays .

That is not too bad then. That way you have the extra money and can go out and get what you need then. I don't make any extra money so I have to stretch my pay check a little further each week.

We have dropped out of the commercial version of Christmas. Gifts can mean a lot to people that we love, but home made or otherwise special non-commercial gifts can be just as meaningful. Time spent caring and listening can be even better than gifts, and be better for the environment, as well.
