I started to learn about guitar while I was still in high school. But I have never taken any formal lessons I have learned from my relatives for the first few lessons . Then I starting to learn from may other people but I have never go to those formal class and pay a tuition to learn about it. I then bought a book and started to learn by myself. I won't say I am a good player since I haven't been formally trained. But I am an ok player since I can played many songs and enjoy singing with others as well. How about you? By the way, I think I have picked the wrong picture. Instead of post an image of a guy playing the guitar. I got the one hon play with banjo . Anyway, Share with us ?

A guitar is not expensive and you can always find one from someone who doesn't play the guitar anymore for free.

I actually taught myself! My dad had a guitar that one of his friends gave him as a wedding present (I think), so we had it around the house for many years. I think it was in my teens that I actually got a book from the library and just decided to play that thing. I already knew how to play the piano, so I already had music experience even though obviously it's quite different from playing a guitar.

Most we know can play at least one instrument. Some learned in school, others taught themselves.

I had formal lessons on classical guitar, then switched to steel string bluegrass style. I love banjo music too, but have never learned how to play banjo. Do you Like Earl and Scruggs?

No, I just don't have the co-ordination to do two.things at once. I wish I did - I would absolutely love to be able to play a guitar.

I would like to learn how to play the guitar. If you can play a couple of songs I consider you a good guitar player.
