Where Do They Get All This ENERGY?!?

West Haven, Connecticut

I seriously would like to know where my son gets all the energy to jump and run around from 6:30 a.m. till 9:00 p.m. and does not take a nap. Yesterday as I was helping my wife with laundry and making dinner, Jr literally spent about 2 hours running back and forth from the dining table to the living room and didnt get tired. Then after that he spent a good hour jumping in his bed singing Paw Patrol and around 10:30 p.m. is when he finally fell asleep lol.. Where does he got all the juice to be up all day??? lol

It's like energy is wasted on young! Where is that energy when we "oldtimers" need it!

That's because he is a young boy. They have all the energy in the world. We lose our energy as we get older. Believe me, I used to have energy like him but no anymore. I need a nap during the day now.

Children are like that, you have to tire them to get them to sleep. Perhaps you only forgot but once upon a time we were also like them lol

I have asked that myself when my son was your sons age. So active and I thought it was something to do with his drink and I was right. The moment I reduced his intake of juices, like orange juice and other juices which contained a lot of sugar, he was not an over active child anymore.

Yeah sugary drinks are a big contributor, but you can give my son water all day and he will still be as hyper as ever lol

@BACONSTRIPSXXX really? Then he must have got it from one of you as a child. Were you not hyper like him when you were still a child?

Lol. Sounds like my kids, especially my eldest. She's up at 6:00-6:30 am, and usually falls asleep around 8:30-9:00 pm. She doesn't nap either. She has plenty of energy. Not sure where my kids get it from. I wish I had as much energy as they do.

That's a good pic and says a lot. Some of the stories my mother tells us of the things my brother and I did are hard to believe. It must have been a different lifetime.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX Yeah, my mother swears my brother and I used to climb cupboards. She even says one of us—not saying which one now—used to swing on the cupboard doors.

I have always wondered this about kids and puppies. They are always ready and on the go and I just want to lay down and nap. I kind of admire them for always having energy that I wish I had. I could get so much done if I had all that energy.

If we only had half the energy they had we would get a lot accomplished in a day. I get tired just watching little ones running around. They sure can tire you out! He's a cute little guy. I surprised you were able to hold him long enough to snap a picture! lol

A bundle of joy God has blessed both of you. He is a child who can reach great heights of life if you give him the direction and support for him from the time he starts school. Discipline is a must at home and when he likes something good encourage him and he will choose his path. I have my son, very naughty, loved horses and aeroplanes. Toys he would buy only these. When he started to read he loves to buy books with planes or horses. He did his studies well. On his 17 years birthday I took him to the Emirates Flying School for a test flight to see whether he would love to fly. He was shocked when I was driving him to the Airport as the school was there. He went for his flight, I joined him too. When we landed, I asked him do you want to fly, he hugged me in front of the Captain, Yes Mama, I love you. Today, he is a Private Pilot. He is also a trained horse rider from the Dubai Horse Equestrian. Your son is special. God Bless him and his parents.

Wow that is truly inspiring and wonderful. You helped him pursue his dreams and made it reality, I guess my son is going to be a Nascar driver since his obsession is cars and seeing me race in video games is like your son flying for the first time lol

Young people have healthier digestions, and use their food more efficiently. The more toxins or antibiotics we are exposed to the less efficiently we use our food, because our health gut bacteria die off, and do not get replaced.
