Work and Yoga

I just wrote a message to my best friend telling her about my busy next 2 weeks. I mentioned that I feel as though I am flying by the seat of my pants. I am.
I am a stay at home mom who homeschools my kids and works a very, very, very part-time job for a catering company. During off-season, I'll be lucky to work once a month.
Right now, however is NOT the off-season. It is the crazy season which means work, work, and more work. And it just so happens to be the crazy season for my kids' activities as well. Then you throw in my husband's long, odd hours job & you have a chaotic life for me right now.
The next 13 days are going to be particularly hairy for me.... especially the next 8 days. Out of the next 8 days, I am working 6. Then... on the 8th day is my daughter's slumber party for her birthday. So somewhere in between now & then and all the work (and other activities), I have to get her birthday party planned and executed...
and of course, my house is a mess.
One thing I refuse to do is let my yoga slide during these crazy days. I will make sure I do my yoga even on the days I work. If ever there was a time I will be needing some zen, it will be the next 8 days.

It will keep you sane! Good for you to take care of yourself in this way.

I always aim to do yoga daily, though knowing i'll most likely have to miss maybe once a week. so yes, there will probably be a day where sleep will win or activities will prevail... saturday and sunday are iffy, but i should be able to squeeze in at least one of the two days. os i just just to figure out which one.

The teacher I work with does yoga with one of our special needs students daily. I like the soothing aspect of it but cannot comfortably do all she does.

I wouldn't let go of the yoga either because it sounds like you are gonna need it. A mama's work is never done, especially yours for the next 2 weeks.

Hang in there. Try to get some yoga done in the gym or even at home.
