An All Asian Hollywood movie is currently on the works!!

Usually when Hollywood makes a movie where the lead character is Asian, it is most likely Martial Arts movie. Finally Hollywood will produce an All Asian cast Hollywood movie that is not action! The movie is based from the Best seller novel "Crazy Rich Asian"
Many Asian American actors are happy about this news because of the lack roles they got on Hollywood because iconic Asian roles like Son Goku, Juan Rico or Makoto Kusanagi where given to White actors.
The movie is going to be a romantic movie. The producer wanted a global search so Asians from Europe and Asia can audition as long as they can speak English with American accent.
What makes me happy about the existence of this movie is the fact we will finally see a Hollywood movie where Asian men are not playing an desexualized nerd role or an expendable goon role. Thank Goodness it won't go to Paramount pictures because that company loves giving Asian roles to White actors.

Juan Rico stings me more because that character is Filipino.

@Letranknight2015 As a fellow DBZ fan, I wish my reaction to DBE was that tame. Seething rage, grinding teeth, continously screaming how "everything was all wrong!" Wanting to smash my computer... Stuff like that.

@CaptAlbertWhisker You are nitpicking. The only non-Asians in these movies are bit parts. I seriously doubt Crazy Rich Asian will be 100% Asian. There will be a white face someplace in the background.

An "ll asian casted film," eh? Well good luck getting casual movie goers to see that, because with them generally being white that's a good chunk of an alienated audience...

They just casted Constance Wu, She is playing a mother role in Fresh off the boat but she will be playing a younger role here.
