The Pioneer Woman

I am sitting here watching Pioneer Woman with Ree Drummond. I like her recipes. They are pretty simple to make. The only thing is... I wish "What Not To Wear" was still airing. I would nominate her to be on the show. Her wardrobe has been stuck in the 70's, since I can remember. Image: Courtesy of Google Images

I like that show too. I wish someone would come and sort out my wardrobe for me too!

If I lived nearby...I would do it. When I used to have roommates, they would want me to go shopping with them. Because of my artistic ability, I have a knack for putting clothes together.

ha! you are quite right, her wardrobe is pretty awful. I loved What not to wear, i learned some decent tricks on how to dress better for my body type

I don't know why Food Network continues to show her stuff. Her recipes are so basic. I miss the actual chefs (Anne Burrell, Alex Guarnaschelli, Claire Robinson) that used to be shown in the afternoon.

Food Network is known for stabbing their chefs in the back over stupid stuff. I personally believe that they can't get the good chefs to do updated shows anymore. Look at Mario Batali. They showed the same stuff over and over again for like 10 years. He quit Iron Chef America because of their crap. Now he is thriving again on The Chew and other channels. Same with Emeril Lagassee. I love to cook, and miss those types of shows. They are on, but very few of them exist. I just get sick of the "game shows" and/or the "one thousand repeats" of Diner's Drives and Dives. Very few of the winners of Food Network Star last past one season, maybe two tops. What does that tell you? They need to get rid of the current administration. They had their day in the limelight. It's time to get new blood in there.

I agree her recipes seem pretty basic. They are probably geared for those who, like her, have a big family who need quick, simple, kid and budget friendly options. That's what I like about her anyway. She seems to wear a lot of peasant tops, bold colors...maybe its something to do with living in a country setting. However, i see young people wearing them here in this big city.
Punctuated with a flowery print, solid detailed placket and a ruffle tipped collar, this shift dress is stylishly casual. Tie front, tiered skirt. Shop now!

That might be what is coming back in. But I wore these clothes back in the 70's and have not worn them since. It is just my opinion. Anyone can like what they want. That is what makes the world not so dull.

@teresatrotter Agreed. She is a pretty talented woman, with raising a family, homeschooling, photography, cooking and blogging about all of it. I don't watch her often but my kids have begged me to make a few of her things. I have yet to try any of them.
