My boss drove me to the ER and waited there with me until my fiance arrived. When the nurse took my BP it was 190/110. They ran blood test and did an EKG. I was in there for about three hours. They said all the blood work came back good and that there is no damage done to my heart yet. The emergency room doctor is sending me to see a heart doctor. The heart doctor's office will be contacting me to set up an appointment. They need to figure out why my BP is still staying high with meds. It was down to normal after I laid there for awhile. The heart doctor will do a stress test as well. Not sure how long it will take to get an appointment. In the meantime I just have to keep taking my meds and monitor my blood pressure. If I have chest pain, numbness, etc. I am to go back to the ER. Right now I feel not too bad. I am taking tomorrow off work just to relax and I may take Friday off too depending on how I am feeling.

It is very kind of your boss to drive you to the ER and stayed there with you. I hope there is not a serious problem for you. And your BP was not normal because you were just tired. Pay attention to your diet and I hope you will stay healthy.

I have a friend going through something similar right now, only it's not her BP she has other stuff going on that they can't figure out. It seems to be a bad year for these kinds of things. Hopefully they can figure it all out and take care of it soon. I hope you feel better soon.

Oh dear that's too high! Be careful please. Do you have any kidney problem, now about your cholesterol level? Have you tried taking Apple Cider Vinegar ? This helps my husband manage his hypertension, One tablespoonful to a glass of water, drink first time in the morning and another glass before he goes to sleep. Then, he also takes Fish Oil capsule, one in the morning and one in the evening. It will help you too for sure.

@Happy2BeMe That's good so there must be other reasons and hope your doctor will find out.

That was good of your boss to take you to the ER. I hope you can get an appointment quick. I would think you should considering the situation. I've been through the stress test a couple times. It's walking on a treadmill for several minutes and they monitor you during the entire time.
