Is it just me but women seemed to hate beautiful women

I remember on American Idol for 5 seasons in a row Men wins the contest. The reason? Most Female audiences, particularly the teenage girls only votes for Male contestants they found cute. I also notice if a female contestants looks way too sexy, she will get eliminated right away even if she is a great singer and she also receives a lot of hate from female audiences.
I am a fan of the Reality game show Survivor and I notice female audiences seemed to have a huge double standard.
If a female contestant is too nice, they will call her boring.
If a Male contestant is too nice, they will call him charming and sweet.
If a Male contestant is too villainous, they will a great player and a clever bad boy.
If a female contestant is too villainous they will call names and degrade her in all forms of profanity.
---
I remember on a local game show from the Philippines , There was this male contestant who is really handsome and all the female audiences where crazy about him. When a young and pretty female contestant managed to eliminate him, they booed the her out of the building. The host of the game show is a woman and she also showed a lot of dislike of her.
----
I remember in an office where I use to work I have a female coworker who looks like a model. She is really gorgeous and she is very smart but all the women in the office bullies her. They spread false rumors about her and they always gang up on her. I think they wanted her to quit the company. My then Boss who is also a woman is thankfully not biased, She scolded those mean ladies who are ganging up on a young lady because she is pretty. I did remember she end up crying in a corner because she was being bullied like she was in a highschool just because she is pretty.

Women are catty. If a woman is good looking then she must be arrogant or stuck up or the word that rhymes with witch (this silly system doesn't allow that word). That stereotype simply isn't true based on my experience.

I had met women who are beautiful inside and out. But yeah even them have no escape from the hatred of the catty army.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Exactly. I have known great looking women who were sweet and nice and unconcerned over their looks.

Not really, since Most men idolizes good looking athletes, band vocalist and others. Also good looking boys are not bullied at school. Men will hate a good looking man if he is not a symbol of manliness. If you notice lots of Men like rappers and rockers but hates the male popstars.

@5thHouse I think it has something to do with the fact men are not really pressured to be good looking. I think Good looking men dont get as much hate from men because unattractive men can still have a hot wife as long as he is rich and society wont judge him for it. While some men just need sense of humor to have someone like them.
Another thing I notice, when male friends get into a fight, even to the point they almost kill each other, They tend to reconcile faster and be friends again like nothing happened.
I notice when women became enemies, they will carry the grudge forever.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Whereas women see beautiful /sexy women as rivals, men tend to see 'success symbols' as rivals, i.e. men who make more money than them. I think men don't hate other good looking men. It's more about status than looks. But with men I think it's more a kind of healthy rivalry. It inspires them to achieve, whereas women just spend a lot of time being nasty to each other and being catty.

Some women are like that. I personally prefer to see women as they are. I call it like I see it and try not to hold standards. Truth is I can't stand jerks whether they be male or female. Looks aren't everything if they have a great heart despite their looks. I will say people do have a lot of double standards, and I'm sure I probably do too when it comes to some things. I think it is something that has been ingrained in us if you think about it. In most cultures men rule. Men are seen as smart and strong, and women are just the people who take care of the home and produce children. While things have changed a lot, I think this still has some weight behind our way of thinking. Yes women are starting to be treated as equals, but I don't think this way of thinking has been completely erased. I think it's just something that's been bread into us so long that it's still there.
Not to mention women can be petty especially towards other women. I am a soap opera fan, and I have even noticed myself giving the male characters more slack than I give the female characters. I find myself defending the men and throwing the women under the bus lol. I find excuses for the guy, but the women are just tramps until they make amends. I have a few exceptions to this rule when watching soap operas, but that is a general rule. I am aware of it though. Maybe it is because I do find the guys attractive I don't know, but guys can be the same way towards women, and it might have something to do with attraction. I have a lot of theories lol, but that's all they are. In real life I wouldn't deal with a guy acting like a jerk, but on a fictional TV show? That's different, probably because I can see the guy's motive, but in real life it's seldom like that, I don't know why a guy or girl can treat someone like crap and I really don't care, not when they're hurting me or someone I care about. I like the bad boys in a fictional world, but not in real life. I don't know that I can fully describe that.

@CaptAlbertWhisker In the soap opera world it's pretty even between men and women. It's just that women are more prone to like the bad boy, and hate the evil women. I know I'm like that usually. I am much more prone to like the evil guy than the evil girl, just depends on the guy. Women as a rule are more forgiving of men. When a man cheats on a woman even in real life she's more prone to blame the woman than the man, and forgive the man. I think this is just the way we have been bread to behave. Back when men were the bread winners women would stay regardless of him cheating on her, so IDK. It's just interesting.

@sissy15 from what I notice with the soap fans, The biggest fans of the female villains are the gay guys. I notice that female soap opera villains seemed to get a gay icon status just like how they treat diva singers.

I notice in most TV shows marketed to women, the villain is always a woman. it is rarely a man, It could be the most popular girl in school, The crazy ex-girlfriend, The traitor best friend or the Mother in law from hell.
In cases of Love triangles, If the 3rd party is a guy, he will be this sympathetic guy you wanted to root for even though you know he wont end up with the girl. if the 3rd party is a woman she is going to be annoying and evil.
Shows marketed to men tend to have villains from all genders, shapes and sizes.
--------
I think women are indeed more forgiving of men. I will give Survivor as an example , Evil male contestants are seen as cool. Nice male contestants are seen as charming. Nice female contestants are seen a boring while evil female contestants are loathed.

Women or men, I guess people just make their assumptions. But it's quite possible that women can get more envious and be judgmental towards certain types of women - is it just their nature - creatures of comparison? I won't say I hate beautiful women (after all I am beautiful too ha ha) but I can admit to being a bit envious of of someone who is "better looking" to some degree. But I wouldn't hate the person - unless they give me reason to . . . like being ugly on the inside.
What was that quote "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful . . . "

@CaptAlbertWhisker See, so even beautiful women have self esteem issues and of course they have feelings - so people just need to lay off. Well, sometimes I think certain women do give others a reason for them to not trust them - and you know it can sometimes get pretty nasty!

@much2say I also notice many women are not supportive of female politicians even if they are good

I remember there was a business woman who said she almost scarred her face because people dont take her seriously because she is beautiful. I noticed many women were also not trusting of women. In the most recent season of Survivor, 6 women were voted off in a row because women don't trust each other.

@CaptAlbertWhisker That is very true. I remember a pretty girl from High School who really thought she was not pretty. It so surprised me that she thought that of herself.

I notice when a woman is very beautiful , many people will assume she is dumb. Apparently an intelligent woman looks like this for them:

It's true. Being good looking isn't always an advantage. Not only do beautiful people attract jealousy and resentment, but I think that people expect them to be happy all the time and won't take them seriously when they suffer from depression or anxiety because they think it's all attention seeking and how could they possibly be feeling insecure, having what they have? My best friend is a successful broadcaster and a concert pianist. She is also a fine artist, a jazz singer, is very pretty, yet she suffers from panic attacks and depression.

How sad that the woman was bullied by fellow women officemates because she's pretty . At the office , if one is pretty , she will always be expected to participate in dances and pageants .
I guess , maybe because she might also have an attitude just because shes pretty , so the others bullied her .

She dont have an attitude at all. They were rude at her since day 1. She is not even prissy, she is a tomboyish lady who gets along better with the guys. She have a boyfriend so she is not a threat to the love life of the ladies in the office.
Women just seemed to hate women.
Just look at American idol, Majority of the female audience votes for the cute guy;

Its the same reason why sexy women are always eliminated fast in American Idol. Female audience are supportive of Good looking guys but they have hatred of sexy and gorgeous girls.

Have you seen how much the feminists hates Barbie dolls and accuse it as being a bad influence to little girls. They also hate female superheroes who dresses sexy.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I've never been able to understand this kind of meanness. If a person has a horrible personality, okay, but to take against someone just because of how they look, how they choose to dress? Women are their own worst enemies sometimes. They do more to hold each other back than men could ever do, because of their jealousies/insecurities. Why can't we be inspired by other attractive women instead of wanting to put them in their place?
