I don't need to tell you who the 'he' I am referring to here in this post is.You may take him as my next door neighbour who has not joined Mylot, but witnesses me accessing the site everyday.
So,today 'he' came to me and said,'You seem to be addicted to this site.Would you ever quit it?'
'No,never.' I said.
'But what if one day you find yourself facing circumstances prohibing you to continue with it? Is there any button by clicking which you may quit the site?'
'No,' I said,'There is no such button. If such a situation arises,I'd stop visiting the site.Mylot doesn't ask anybody to quit, especially as long as they continue to follow guidelines.'
Was what I told him right?

It´s neither right nor wrong. What you tell someone depends on the relation you have with him.

I think you can technically have your account deleted, but I really dont know why you would want to do that

Yes, what you told him is substantially correct. There is no 'unsubscribe' button. If you wanted to cancel/delete your account, you would need to send a PM to the Admin (@GoAskAlice) asking him specifically to delete your account. That is not a problem, however. MyLot stores very little personal information and what you post here is your responsibility. There is usually no need to delete your account if you chose to leave.
