So when I first met Richard he outright told me he did not like cats. That they destroy your furniture. So after maybe 2 years of begging for a kitty one day after an argument we had, he had left for a while and came home with Casper. I was shocked and almost didn't want to be in love with the baby cause I was afraid he would give him away. I guess I should say that he did this once before with a kitten when we first started dating that was very destructive. Anyway, after almost a year of having Casper Richard came home from work with a box and a itty bitty kitten wrapped in a blanket inside. Richard works in the parts department of a car dealership. The car dealership had this mama cat that kept giving birth. Well this time the mama cat abandoned the kittens. Every employee took a kitty but one was left so Richard wouldn't leave it, he took it. I was ecstatic!! She was so tiny!! We guesstimated that she was about 4 weeks old. I named her Chloe and after hearing her try to meow I then knick named her Cluck Cluck. I had to bottle feed Clucky and help her to learn to eliminate. I also had to sleep in the spare bedroom with her so Richard wouldn't hear her crying at night because he needed to get up early for work. Now, I truly pray that this doesn't create negative feedback but after a few days of barely any sleep with getting up in the middle of the night to feed the kitten and see if she needed to use the potty I decided I needed sleep. So Chloe would try and jump off the high bed and roam around the bedroom. So I decided to take her and put her under the covers and trap her under there so she wouldn't roam around. She would try to get out at first but after a few seconds she would settle and just go to sleep. I still would get up and feed her periodically as I knew she was a baby and needed to be fed. But it allowed me some sleep. With having to sleep with Clucky I ended up getting Scabies. Yep Scabies!! Chloe came with Scabies. I knew her nose was a little dry but I had no clue what Scabies even was. So I took her to the vet, of course, to get shots and checked out and all was good except she has Scabies. She also gave the Scabies to poor Caspy because he loved to groom her and never left her side. So we had to treat them both for Scabies and myself as well. It was very embarrassing to go to my PCP and say, "hey, I think my cat gave me Scabies. What do I do?" Haha But anyway. It all was well worth is. And to this day my Clucky Bear will come into the bedroom at night and want under the covers. It's not often as she is VERY skittish. But she does. Last night was one of those night. I actually had Chloe under the covers to my left and Harley under the covers on my belly. I was in love!! So that is the story of Cluck Cluck!! Oh and Richard LOVES cats now!! Lol

That's a sweet story - your fur babies are really your babies... I was like Richard and I gave in when all my menfolk wanted to keep the two cats we have now... I think the cats know too that I'm not totally crazy about having them...

They are my babies!! I can't have children so they're the only children I'll ever have. I understand why some aren't crazy about cats. They do tear things apart and the kitty litter smells. It's not fun cleaning it. I'm not crazy about the dogs because of the barking. Plus they only listen to Richard and not me! Drives me nuts!!
