Birthday, Laundry, & Internet

It's been a good day so far. I took my daughter's birthday present to her this morning when I went to do laundry and she liked what I got her, which was a lavender candle from my trip to Washington Island.
It took me four hours to do laundry, during which time I watched three shows on MeTV at my daughter's house. I also enjoyed some doggie time with Maisy who was very happy to see me and spent about ten minutes climbing all over me, licking my face and generally saying hello.
Once I got home I tried unsuccessfully to get on the Internet. For some reason it wasn't working, so I went out to get a slice of birthday cake. My daughter is going to be doing bars tonight, and that is definitely not my thing, and she knows it so doesn't expect me to tag along. Though I did get a slice of carrot cake from the store and hoped by the time I got home that the Internet would be back up and running.
I also put my lunch in the oven. Before I eat the cake and crack open the ice cream in the freezer, I thought it would be a good idea to have some healthy food first. So I have two cod fillets in the oven.
Since I got home yesterday, I haven't been hungry, at least not since I ate my first meal in 3.5 days. I'm still not hungry, so we'll see if my stomach wakes up once I start eating.
So that has been my day today. My daughter is 42 years old today. She's treating herself to a birthday massage.
So anyway, how was your day? Thanks for reading.
Picture is my daughter this past summer at my great granddaughter's birthday party.

Thank you. Yes, it was much better and once the Internet started working I've almost caught up. It's working very fast for a change.

Sounds like a good one. You know I have never had a professional massage. A husband or two used to occasionally give me a pathetic excuse for a massage but that is all. Was the birthday cake good?

@just4him ......I would like to buy a gift card for my daughter and have her go to one of those massage places. She'd enjoy it. Has back issues.

It's morning here and I haven't had my breakfast yet. Maybe in a couple of minutes. And I might bathe my dog.

There you are! Sounds like everything went ok. Yeah, when in 'starvation' mode, the body starts feeding on its own resources and that can, sometimes, lead to things like dehydration. Teach it to 'hunger' again. Eat often, in small amounts. Enjoy the day...Party on :-)

It does. It is lightly scented so should smell wonderful when lit.

I have never had a professional massage, only one from hubby. I do not think I would enjoy a professional one, since I am not really a touchy type person. Do not like being that up close and person with a stranger. strange I know. Happy Birthday to your daughter, enjoy that cake.
