It is a good thing my myLot friends and acquaintances are such nice people or else they might be mad at me for the way I disappear months at a time. Part of the time I had the really good excuse that I went camping in places where there was no internet connection at all.
Yes, I took my 98 year old friend camping up in Mendocino and points north and even if I could have found a phone signal or wifi in some of the campgrounds (which I could not) I didn't have a way to power the phones, so when I used up the batteries no more pictures either. But I did get to take hundreds of pictures before that happened. Here is one.

@1hopefulman I did take lots of photos! Thank you, I am going to make an effort to spend some time on here, but not as much as I used to 7 years ago! I am traveling a lot more now.

As one who disappears for weeks at a time, I'm very forgiving. Glad you and your friend are having fun. We used to own land near Shelter Cove near Garberville. Kosta wanted to build and live there, but I wasn't wild about living in a place that didn't seem too safe for people who had wild land.

That's one reason to take a decent camera as many don't need to be charged as often a phone does. Course a camera wouldn't allow you to keep up with the world. I can't imagine camping in my sixties, amazing that your friend likes to camp.

Yeah, @marshamusselman although my "real" camera has the same resolution as my smartphone and its own battery, it is just one more thing to pack and carry.

@snowy22315 He had a great time and wants to do it again next summer. As long as he is sound of mind and has mobility I will be glad to take him.

It's weird that after years on here on and off I still come across people that have also been here for years and, as far as I remember, have never crossed paths with.
Nice picture

@Mike197602 Thank you. Some of my old myLot acquaintances are back with different names, as if I am not already confused enough
