I thought I was dying

I don't know what happened, but I spent most of last night throwing up every half hour from 3:30 until 7:30. There was stuff to throw up the first 3 times, but after that, not so much. It was so violent, I was going at both ends. Now, my ribs are sore from the violence of it. My head hurts too, I ended up taking some hydrocodone because I didn't want to take my normal headache medicine, since aspirin is kind of hard on the stomach. Since I stopped throwing up I slept most of the day, but since the head started hurting, it hurts too much to sleep. I really wondered for a while if I needed to go to the ER. I'm still not sure if I'm done yet, I did have a bout of diarrhea a little bit ago. So, I hope my friends here are all doing well.

Are you sure that you ate nothing that was spoiled or gave you stomach problems? It could also be the flu.

I think I'd still be having trouble if it were a stomach bug. I've been able to keep drink down, so I guess it was probably something I ate. Everything I ate for supper is going in the trash...

@LadyDuck some people seem to have stronger constitutions than others... I'm one of those "others"

@ElicBxn I believe it was something you ate. I was very bad two days ago, my husband ate the same and he was not sick.

We think it must've been food poisoning because after I stopped throwing up, I started getting better...

WOW! It happened to me the other day, My stomach really hurt, and I had a diarrhea but I was able to stop myself from vomiting... which is the worst for me, I really don't like the feeling of vomiting it makes me scared. Don't forget to drink a lot of water and gatorade.

I can't stop myself from vomiting. When I was younger, I could sometimes, but after I had that reaction to the dye from the CT scan, I can't.

A friend of mine had your same symptoms and it turned out she was having a heart attack. Thankfully her daughter insisted on taking her to the ER and she survived.

I've been pretty much falling apart forever, but my eyes and heart are about the only two things I've got that work pretty much as they are supposed to. My ribs are in a lot of pain from vomiting, but if I don't do anything silly, like laugh or cough, I don't feel too bad.

@1creekgirl I'm feeling better. Sneezed earlier and though my ribs were going to explode, they are so sore from vomiting, I was vomiting really hard. I slept most of the day, again, and think I'm about ready to head back to bed... that's pretty sorry, but rest is what I need the most of.

I am feeling better than I did yesterday about this time (nearly 4 a.m.) My head is pretty sensitive, and the brat cat naturally has to find the noisiest thing to play with.

It seems so. After all, after vomiting for 4 hours and feeling like I was burning up the rest of the day. Today I'm weak, but otherwise getting better. Yesterday I couldn't have stood for 2 minutes, today I could.

I was probably dehydrated when I finally woke up this afternoon. I'm trying to rehydrate, but carefully so I don't overload my stomach.

That's what the roomie thinks also. Sure did knock me for a loop. I'm feeling better, but not back to "good" yet.

Don't worry, you get well soon. I pray to God.

Thanks for the prayers. I'm doing better, just trying to avoid hot stuff since I'm feeling hot already. I'm also being careful about cold stuff, because while it feels good, too much could cause a rebound effect.
