The first day of November has given us a wonderful sunny day. Early this morning there was fog, but it has dissolved in tiny drops of dew. Today is All Souls day here and it's a holiday. I have spent some time in the garden looking around in search of autumn blooms. There are wild violets blooming in the sunny areas, while the wild cyclamens are in the shade, diffusing their scent in the air. I almost stepped on this nice group of mushrooms, surrounded by moss. Do you know which kind of mushrooms they are? They are growing in a humid area, on a old wooden stair.

There are a few wild mushrooms that I know for sure that are good and I pick them up. I am not at all sure about those ones, they are surely not poisonous, but I would not like to eat something hallucinogen.

@LadyDuck Did you say hallucinogenic? I'll send you my address in a PM. Seriously, the hippies in Seattle used to find those in graveyards at certain times of the year.

@TheHorse I wonder if they are the same. I have heard of people who had to be rushed to the ER after eating those things.

It was foggy here this morning too. That's a charming picture of the mushrooms, but I've no idea what they are called.

I know that up in the forest there are edible mushrooms and I can recognize them, but those that grow in the garden can be dangerous. I am not going to touch them.

So it's a holiday there when it's all Soul's day . Us, the holiday is November 1 , All Saints' Day , where Filipinos flocked to the cemetery to pray , bring flowers , light a candle and most of all see relatives and friends who are also visiting their dearly departed . Those mushrooms looks like the edible ones being sold in the market . They are rare though .

@LadyDuck Usually too it is a normal working day . But since it was sandwiched between a Sunday and another holiday after Monday , it was declared a holiday so the people working far from their dearly departed can have time to travel and visit the cemetery where they were buried .

@LadyDuck Oh so it's indeed All Saints' Day you mean . So it's also a holiday there yesterday , November 1 . Us , it was also declared that October 31 as a special non-working day since it was sandwiched between a Holiday and a weekend . . So it was a long weekend for us here since Saturday until Nov. 1 .

I love wild flowers, I planted two tubers of wild cyclamens that I found in France before moving to Switzerland, now, after 15 years, they are spreading and I love them.

@crazyhorseladycx I love plants and flowers. I bought a gardenia the same year we bought the house, the plant is also 15 years old and every year it bears many beautiful white flowers. I have moved it in the greenhouse and there are still 5 flowers in bloom.

I have no idea, but did you know there's an app or two online that can look at a photo and tell you the type of plant? I have two on my iPhone. They work most of the time.

Don't have a clue what the mushrooms are. We use mushroom mulch in our raised bed and every so often mushrooms pop up. Not sure what kind they are so I won't eat them.

Those mushrooms are edible but you will see Unicorns, mermaids, fairies and aliens if you eat them, Those are Psychedelic Mushrooms. Some people smoke them like how they will smoke Mary jane. People intentionally eat them to get high and have hallucinations.
