Recently we had a discussion regarding woman and kitchen.. In India most of women live more than 50%of their life inside kitchen.. but no one gives respect for her efforts in filling others stomach.. I am against this.. they shout be respected and praised for the time they spend for others happiness... What you guys think?

When i am at home on weekends , i am expected to cook since my in-laws said i cook deliciously . Anyway , i don't like cooking , when the members of the house doesn't even thank or praise what i cook . So , i can understand why you are against such attitude also .

@digiguru I so agree . At least they could have said to lessen the salt or sugar as the case maybe . not complain . It's a good thing , at home my aunt -in-law from the US , who came to stay with us for good , always praise my cooking . But the parents -in-law and hubby , they keep eating . However , when i feel nasty, i ask my hubby if it is good and he would say , a bit salty or bland but delicious . And i would tell him "good at least you appreciated my cooking or else next time , i shall not be cooking anymore" and they will all laugh . Bah , i meant it .

Rather than thanking and praising mostly they tend to complain.. I never did this to my mom.. I used to suggest like salt could have been less or more.. since I know well how much hard she works. Even I prepare food while at out of station

everyone should be respected and people should not take for granted of what they have.

Honestly i don't think cooking is just a women's job anymore. Men cook too. But yes. Appreciation should be given to the person who is making the effort.
