I am not sure if you know the term "Slush Puppy" and if you don't, then let me try and give you some information. "Slush Puppie is a slush beverage created in 1974, its an Icy Cold super duper drink for all ages" Thank goodness for the corner café that has a Slush Puppie Machine - the owner must be making a fortune in the South African heat of late. I myself have had about one a day for the last week. I love the flavours Raspberry and Bubblegum - turns my tongue all sorts of colours as well. Now they have Litchi flavour as well as Lime which can also be refreshing. Have you ever had a Slush Puppy . . or as the Americans call it Slush Puppie?

We called it "granita" in Italy and it existed since the ancient times, not electric of course.

I have seen how they shave the Big ice blocks at festivals - quite remarkable

I just call them slush drinks or slushie, slurpee, or icee... I've had them before and they are usually sold at outdoor festivals or fairgrounds during hot summer days...

I remember having a very refreshing slush-puppy in Greece at the top of the Acropolis - The best reward after all the stone and rock climbing

We have them in Australia although I can't remember when I last saw one. They certainly would be a great idea on a hot day.
