Ouch it hurts! Old Friends Give Up Too!

I'm thinking if it was my fault if my old friends no longer contacted me. Maybe because whenever they invited me to see each other I always refuse their invitations. It hurts to see their pictures posted in one social media that they traveled together, and it even hurts when you know that they planned it without you knowing it, but it is more hurting when you see one of your friend who works overseas came and you will only learned it based on the pictures you see. Well I guess nothing is permanent here, even your old close friends give up too. Do you have similar experience as these? It hurts , it hurts, it hurts! puroypoi 11/3/2016 11:05 am

Sometimes, people just get fed up by someone's excuses. But it isn't too late to reach out to them... i'm sure. They're your friends afterall

@XinfulThotz It's great that you have thoughtful friends. But we should take their patience 'level' into consideration

@Dextoi i agree with you. people invite me, i can't go because of certain reasons, i would make an effort to invite them when i have the time.

@Dextoi if i don't care about them, i wouldn't even invite them back.in life we have different commitments. it doesn't mean that i always have to be free when they invite and same applies when i invite. so just discuss which day is ok for both. if they don't have the basic mutual understanding then they shouldn't be called "friends"

I can relate , because quite a number of times my high school batchmates invited me for dinner , but i refused . So , when i open Facebook and saw their happy pictures , i feel a little hurt i didn't go . Now they also don't invite me to watch a movie with them because i turned them down when they watch those "kilig" movies of young actors and actresses.

i don't have fb, so friends text or email me when there's a get-together because someone came home.

that should be the way I think, to let them inform you should someone came home.

Well it happens everywhere. There was a close friend who came from abroad to get married, and it came to be known only when the pictures of the wedding were posted on Facebook, and here comes him giving silly excuses as to why it was not announced to pals. So I have learnt to live the right life that I expect others to live towards me, and have determined not to mind if it is not reciprocated in return. I'm cul

That's sad to hear.... but i guess most of us drift apart in time.. only 2-3 good friends will stay for life...the ones who genuinely understand us.

yes i know...lucky for us if we have 2-3 friends that will stay for life...but it seems unlucky for me, those 2-3 friends that i thought will genuinely understand me are the one involved here.

they knew that i cannot spend what they can spend in meeting them. maybe they knew that i cannot afford to spend that is why no longer invited me.. but just what i said, it is more hurting if your close friend return from abroad without you knowing it.. that person also said before to me that when will be his vacation that person don't know. then all of the sudden i just learned that person is here.
