I can agree to that..
if you have been friends long enough and know each other well enough, even after decades without any contact, you would still remain friends..
I grew up during the days where we did not have our own phones, or internet.. if one moved to a different place, the only way to keep in touch with one another was to write to each other.. and sometimes, or most of the times we never did.
And, imagine... after so many years without having any contact.. we had the chance to contact each other again..
we are still friends.. we caught up with each other's life story.. and nowadays, with the current technology - still remain in touch, thou not daily.. just happy to know that friend is always around, if you ever want call or talk to her, or see her again.
