Breakfast!

For almost 2 months, I have changed the way I start my day. Back then, I am good with a hot cup of coffee to start my day. Now, I always make sure I have time to get breakfast. Everyday for the past weeks, I always have oatmeal with almond milk and cacao nibs. I got the oatmeal and cacao nibs from a healthy food store here in our town, and I got the almond milk form our local Walmart. Of course I still have my usual cup of coffee but I have been taking it creamer and sugar free for 6 months. At first, changing the way I drink my coffee is awful – I am really craving for my usual cream and sugar. But now, I just take it plain.
After having this kind of breakfast for a while now, I noticed really good changes. I do not crave for chocolates anymore. I do not get hungry often, my bowel movement is much better, and I have more energy in the morning. I started this when I got the results of our annual physical, I was shocked that my cholesterol level was way over the limit, to think that my weight is normal. Apparently, you can be in a “healthy weight” and still be unhealthy. I’m not getting any younger so if I do not start taking care of myself now, then when? I don’t want it to be too late, and I definitely plan to accomplish a lot and enjoy life and the major requirement to do this is be in good health.

See, eating a good breakfast has its good and healthy benefits .
Breakfast like a King , Lunch like a Princess and Dinner like a Pauper . That what it should be , but since i am afraid of getting late at work , i just would also have a sandwich and coffee . Then i will have my "brunch " at 10:00 a.m. our snacktime . And i eat a lot during that time .

@Raine38 i just wanted to use up the cacao balls before they grow molds and i don't know how to make champorado (chocolate rice porridge) using malagkit (glutinous rice) so that's how i compromised. i call it oatmeal champorado. hehe. then i add milk, cinnamon and raisins when i eat it.

That bowl of oatmeal is the best breakfast .Over time you will lose weight too. I switched to oatmeal too a few months back and have been keeping better health.
