This is my bad day. I left my purse at home with some money in it. I just rushed to my workplace this morning, and forgot to take it on my make-up table. Now, it's time for having lunch. At first, I planned to buy some meals at the canteen, but then I realized I don't bring my purse. I'm not comfortable to borrow some money from my friends.
Luckily I found I0,000 IDR in the pocket of my bag. It is around 1 dollar.
Then with that amount of money, I can buy only a cupcake for my lunch. I don't have to worry about the drink as I always bring a bottle of mineral water with me.
Thanks God, finally I can have my lunch which costs only $1.
In your country, what can $1 buy for lunch?

@hereandthere Sometimes they do, and it's always a hit and miss. If all else fail it is much better to get some good, honey crisp apples for lunch, at least that's what I will do.

With a $1 - I can get snacks like chips, granola bar or candy.
At the cafeteria at my previous company, I could probably buy a slice of bread and get complimentary jam.

as of today 1 us dollar is 48.55 philippine pesos. 1 cup of rice is 10 pesos and 1 ulam (ex. pork dish) is 35 pesos so that's a total of 45 pesos only.

Haash you had that money at least..
In our country, it depends on the place we go. There are cheap places which could give you manyyy things from 1$ and there is medium rate from which maybe we could get one item like cupcake.
But, the costly category, nothing could be bought.
