Going to receive a letter

Oh god, I am so excited. Yesterday I was chatting with @xinfulthotz and she asked me for my adress. Yes, she's going to send me a postcard!!! A letter!! For me!!! Isn't this amazing? It's been ages since I've received my last letter. Now everything is done by e-mail, personally or by phone. Nobody sends postcards or letters to anyone (except for those bills you have to pay). Do you still remember when was the last time that you received a letter/postcard?

I received a letter from a friend a couple of weeks ago. I still have friends who love to use the snail mail.

That's really nice. I used to write letters to my friends when I was still in high school and college, but after that, it seems like we just got too lazy.

You're right. Postmen have hardly any work to do nowadays compared with pre-email times. I got my last letter from the member @Inlemay thanking me for the postcards I sent her. My husband is expecting a letter today from his nephew who very likely is asking him for money. :-(

I have received several postcards recently, but letters are rare. As you said, modern technology has virtually eliminated the standard mail service.

She is so lovely! Do you just know her from mylot or she is your personal friend? Yes, it's so nice to receive a personal letter nowadays. I haven't been receiving one for years. My children did receive Christmas cards and Chinese New Year card from their grandparents and uncle last year & this year.
