Gave me farewell money

Philippines

I don't know what's going on last night but out of now where my aunt gave me some money. I was so sure they're trying to budget and not spending on a dime because when they get home, they will have to commute and no one's picking them up this time. This is the third time she gave me some and I'm very thankful for what she did. Seriously, I tried to refuse this time because I know she needs it but I know how angry she can be if I did. When they came here a month ago, she gave a hundred dollars. But because they ran out for a couple of days because of grandma's and Mom's expensive medication, I just spent it anyways. I knew it was going to slip from my fingers anyway But thinking of it now, I'm still lucky that relatives would still me something even at my age. I'm earning some money but not like those who are working regular jobs or anything. I guess it's a reward for staying and taking care of mom. Unlike relatives or family members who wants to kick their kids out to get a job and have family of their own; They actually want me to stay because they are concerned with Mom's well being. They're right.

Hello @Lucky15 well, she's not disabled yet but it's frightening to see her being all alone.

It is good of you to be there taking care of your mom and your aunt is probably just showing you her appreciation. She wouldn't give it too you if she couldn't afford it so except it and buy something that you want.

I was shock by it, I'm sure they are saving money for their trip home @jstory07 it's not like they can just walk to their house once they reach the airport, it's actually far away.

Wow, good for you @brokenbee it wasn't easy in my opinion for them giving that amount despite the fact they need it more over there.

@Letranknight2015 yes, I agree with you. And they had already spent a lot in coming home and our family outings and all the celebrations while they are here. But they said, we are also too generous and too caring while they were here that's why they also gave us their extra money.

You are a good son friend and your siblings cannot find someone to care your mom ore than you. That money is sort of gratitude for your patience and perseverance.

No one can be trusted these days except for our old maid here who can't stay long because she has a family back in the province @cacay1 . Strangers cannot be trusted these days since there are crimes involving them as well.

Your relatives are generous by nature that is what I think. They knew you need it more than they need it. You are so lucky.
