Here are some more sites I am currently researching. Please feel free to correct or add to the information I have so far. Great Sphinx at Giza, Egypt was built 5000 years ago. It’s 66 feet high and 240 feet long. The largest royal tomb in Japan is as long as 5 football fields, as high as a 10-story building, built by Emperor Nintoku, in Japan, in the city of Sakai. Machu Picchu, ancient ruins in Peru, discovered by American Hiram Bigham. The Parthenon in Athens, Greece 2500 years old in honor of the “goddess” Athena Parthenos, the patron goddess of Athens. Horyu-Ji is the oldest Buddhist temple in Japan. It’s 1000 + years old, Now it’s a museum filled with priceless art. Mormon Tabernacle stands next to the Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bahai House of Worship in Chicago, Illinois Constantine built a cathedral of the E. Orthodox Church in Constantinople (now Istanbul, Turkey) called Hagia Sophia, which means “Holy Wisdom. Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. Also known as Mosque of Omar

The age of the Great Sphinx is in question as are the pyramids (though you didn't mention them). Water damage on the body of the sphinx indicates erosion damage when the desert was a jungle, which meant that it was built some time earlier. It might have been converted into a sphinx 5,000 years ago (because the head is notably smaller than the body, suggesting that it was carved into a different shape), but the original shape was probably a lion, built during the age of Leo, around 12,000 years ago. Most people in the world would say that that is wrong and such, but it makes much more sense to those that study. If the date on it is correct then I apologize to the builders, but this world is much stranger than we know it to be.

Thanks for that information. I'm just beginning my research. It will be interesting to see what I can find out about each of the sites. Some are quite ancient, while others are more modern.

@IreneVincent You're welcome. I like to study history and I have found it to be very misleading. Much of what we think we know about history is often not true, and even today there are forces at work trying to rewrite history less than a century old. A large number of people are already convinced that the Holocaust of WWII is made up. If such an event during an age of information exchange and eye-witnesses can be covered up, what about the things that happened thousands of years ago? It only takes one generation to believe differently and everything is never the same.

@OneOfMany I believe that much of what we believe as history is NOT true. I do believe that the Holocaust happened. There is too much evidence (photos and actual buildings still standing to deny that it happened.) I actually think that it was even more horrible than we know.

I have written about the Taj Mahal in India, but some people don't consider it a RELIGIOUS site, since it was supposedly a TOMB for one of India's ruler's wives. Tell me more about Borobudur temple. I will research it in the meantime.

I never visited Borobudur temple, it is too far from the place I live. I don't know much about it, but it appears a lot in our school books. My teacher ever told me that the builders used eggs to make the bricks of the temple stick strongly. Maybe he was true or perhaps it's just a myth. You can find more information here:
