Have you tried Yoga?

I started yoga long ago because I wanted to reduce my stress. It's really worked well for me over the years. I found that you don't have to tie yourself up in a pretzel or always do the upside down poses, either. The type called Hatha Yoga is baby step easy. Also, you're supposed to adapt your poses if you have a disability, limitation of some kind, and especially do not go upside down, also known as inversion poses, if you're having your monthly cycle. Yoga has helped me a lot with my back pain, menopause and stress issues. Have you tried it yet? What for? Did it help?

I wish I can do yoga but I can't. My body is not flexible enough to do it. Is it anything I can do make it more flexible?
About the upside down poses, will it be dangerous especially if performed by people who has hypertension? Will it increase the risk of stroke?

So many people have advised Yoga to me and clinical pilates because of my back. Thanks for telling us about Hatha Yoga. I'm really interested now. I have looked through some videos on youtube but they all look uncomfortable to me. If anything is too hard for me, I just find myself stopping. Need to build up on perseverance too.

I have been struggling with a lot of anxiety and stress recently and this was recommended by a doctor. I'm a bit of a fitness freak either spinning, running, lifting weights etc. six times a week but think adding one of these classes may help me more. I guess what has held me back is the worry that I won't be able to hold/get into the poses.
