Rant time.

I hate sounding all depressed and whatever. After contacting the lady from the site I was doing my freelance work with, I feel even worse than I did yesterday. While I shouldn't have gotten upset about the harsh rating thing, which wasn't what bothered me. It was the fact that I was worried about being reported because of someone saying I wasn't a native English writer. Her response was, "I can see how they came to that conclusion. Your writing is awful." Um yeah.
Now I feel almost shattered. Writing was one of the things I thought I was good at. I didn't expect to get something like that said to me ever. I shouldn't feel as depressed as I do, but at the same time the way she worded it was so rude. Even writing on My Lot right now has me concerned that people are reading through my awful writing.
End of rant.

That was very rude of her to say that to you. She could have been more polite about it. There is nothing wrong with your writing. You were having a bad day and you were a bit distracted. Please try not to get too discouraged. Keep writing. Don't let it get you down.

@Happy2BeMe and one of the online friends we have in common that also does writing don't it have it listed in her lists of sites she suggests. I don't find it a coincidence. My new assumption is the site sucks. I made $28 this week, and that's all I'm willing to make ever again. I'm using the sites they suggest first.

@polyxena that's a good idea. There are better sites out there.

The good thing here is that it doesn't matter, but I know how you feel.
I was made to feel my writing wasn't good enough on blogborne when my posts were picked apart and edited....and in my opinion looked far worse after the editing was done!

Did the site ask you for a birth certificate? That someone must have had the certificate in his hands in order to say that
Now, seriously, you cannot let a couple a rude people depress you. If you like to write, do so with a light heart!

@polyxena Maybe you can ask her to tell you what is it that she finds so very wrong and why would she use those words to tell you. There is no excuse for rudeness.

@marguicha I rather not even talk to her or have any contact with her.

Don't worry about the rating...i have gotten bad reviews too...and they sure do sound rude.
It took me a few days but i realized that my writing wasn't so bad. It is just the sites way of getting rid of new writers. I know my skills are not all that bad...i wrote quite coherently.
I have left 3 sites because of such harsh ratings of my work not being "good enough" for them.
You should remember that it is easy for them to be all criticising and rude through a computer screen. Don't let them get you down. I think your writing is good. Maybe you should take your business elsewhere to sites , where you are appreciated.
