Do you want to take the high speed train?

high speed train

The high speed train has developed so fast in my country in recent years. It already connects many cities. If the trip takes within 4 hours by high speed train, I like to select it rather than the plane. Because you have to go to the airport at least two hours earlier to prepare for the check-in. So finally I may not arrive at the destination sooner than taking the high speed train. If the trip takes longer than 6 hours, I will choose the plane because for this distance the high speed train will be expensive, too.

I haven't ever tried riding a high speed train , but would want to someday . So, it being so fast , you can't eat inside because it would be movable such as when it will take a curb?

No, in fact I can't find it any big difference between it and the normal train. You can eat and do other things in the high speed train as well. I think it even runs stably.

Sounds very convenient. If its nearby does it cost a lot to go via high speed train? Do you have to check in early? Has there been any accidents with the high speed train? I've never been on any because we don't have that *yet*. They are planning to though.

So far I know that there is one accident happened some years ago. After that, the speed is less than 300KM/hour. But it is still fast. For a trip for about 2-3 hours, the high speed train will cost about $60. We also need to check-in early, but I think half an hour will be already good enough.

@youless Oh I see - so the safety is pretty good considering only once accident many years ago! That is a good price, cheaper than long bus fare too!
