Who Knew?

Last year at this time I was clomping around Turkey. Yesterday I went shopping for a bridal gown for my future daughter-in-law.
Who knew then, that so much would happen in the course of one year?
Yesterday's adventure began at my son's house, where Maddie, her mother, sister and I met. We drove to the bridal shop, which happened to be in my brother's swanky town. My son stayed with my husband, so I could have my first day out with the girls in months.
We were welcomed with champagne, chose a variety of wedding gowns with Maddie, and she tried them all on. She looked beautiful in each, but the second one was stunning. She ordered it, and we toasted with champagne. I won't dare share it with you now!
Fortunately, I knew a great restaurant in the town, so I treated us all to luncheon with more drinks!
We had a wonderful day. We will have a beautiful bride in 11 months minus one day, wearing a magnificent bridal gown!!!

! Oh yes, it does help to have a shop work with you to find exactly what you want - and I'm glad she did!

@ElizabethWallace Unfortunately, our luck has been zilch this year. I'm thrilled she found a gown and that I didn't jinx her. Lol!

I'm glad you had a wonderful day and found a stunning gown. Looks like I need to wait 11 months minus one day for pictures of it, probably longer as you won't be posting anything the day of the wedding.
