Do you think the morning after pill should be made available over the counter and available for purchase by teenagers? Why or Why not???

well, its kinda hard to say because over the counter has a possiblity of abuse by some. i think its something where it could be available at free clinics or doctors. it should be seen as an emergancy...i dunno..so many factors. if they could possibly screen them when the buy it. like you need to fill out a form..something like that

Yes i think it should be made available however i don't think you should just be able to walk in and buy it over the counter. And i don't think that women should just be able to come in repetedly and buy it.

in a way yes...but waiting the whole week is the problem. the morning after pill is concentrated birth control over the course of 3 days...thats a lot quicker then 7.

well if that was the case then doctors would recommend something like that. and most people who need the morning after pill aren't on birth control in the first place. taking more then the recommended dosage of a medication is not good. any doctor should tell you. even if the morning after pill is just concentrated BC. unless you're a doctor...i wouldn't recommend anyone doing something like that.

No, not OTC. I do think it should be available to teens and through a doctor. While it is NOT an abortion pill, which so many think because they're undeducated about it, it IS a high dose of birth control. If someone begins to use it as a means of birth control instead of what it was meant for, which is an "oops, I was stupid" kind of pill then it can cause major harm. I'll be the first one to tell you, I have used it. I had an incident where my fiance and I had broken up for a while and then when he came back into the picture we mended.. and mended WELL! LOL Afterwards I could have kicked myself! To be assured I wouldn't get pregnant I went to the doc and took the morning after. It was simply assurance that I wouldn't get pregnant by accident. After that I went back on the b/c but unfortunately we aren't perfect and fortunately there's something out there to help us during those times.
