Can't sign up?

So, my J is trying to sign up on here and running into errors, I even tried and I can't. Anyone else know anyone trying to join mylot and can't? I've tried messaging both Alex and Bugsy and not gotten a response yet, so hoping a post will catch them!

yeah, that's what I had done, so that's three of us getting the same errors, on chrome, IE and firefox. Im on windows 10 and I think she was trying on 7

I, too, got an error trying to open a new account. I'm attaching a screenshot so that @mylotbugs has something to work with. I subsequently tested signing in to the 'new' account (in spite of the error) and received a 'User not found' error, so it clearly did NOT create an account.
It appears to be a 'timeout error' (server or client took too long to respond) but the actual reason for the timeout is doubtless buried somewhere in the code and may either be the result of a fairly recent change to the system (sometime in the last two days, since the 'New User Discussions' shows two users who have joined two days ago) or something caused by a database error which needs clearing.

This has been a problem off and on for awhile, and it's something we're aware of. Hopefully there will be a fix coming out soon that will prevent this from occurring.
In the meantime, we just recommend advising people to try signing up again a few minutes later. The sign up will eventually go through, but every once in a while the new registration process chokes up for a short period of time.

@HAPPSINGH Every site is accessible 24 hours 7 days a week, this does not mean that the two guys who take care of this site are here 24 hours a day. They must also find where is the problem and this is not an easy task in the computer world with all the browsers, operating systems, computers, tablets and cellphones that the people uses. Bugs and Alex are great guys.

I had trouble with trying to sign up the first 3-4 times when I tried. Then it sent me the email to confirm and then when I tried to log in it told me my email and information was invalid a few times. I gave up for a while and then came back a few weeks later and it let me join/log in that time and has worked since then.
