I posted about how my chocolate cake suddenly became popular.. in less than a week I made so many orders and people liked it. The problem now is that sometimes I go to bed at 2-3 a.m. .. OMG! I can't even sleep well because my partner is pressuring me to finish all the orders in one time.. and I was like ...What?? I can't do all of these alone.. this is a great idea for business but I have the full right to get some rest and I won't care anymore if the customers will wait for a day to get their cakes delivered coz I'm not a robot..

i don't even care anymore if the consistency of my cake isn't the same and i hear some not so good feedbacks.. it's the effect of me getting so much stress on this.. although i had to grab it bcoz i don't want to upset people but my body is already complaining..

That is the downside of a good business. It will be at the cost of your time and strength. I am sure your customers will understand that if they want quality product, they should be willing to wait for the reasonable turn around time for the finished product.

i guess she's pretty demanding because it was her that "exposed" your cake to the world and she's earning from "commissions."
but you already told her the maximum you can do because you also have a fulltime job and now the quality is suffering and you receive negative feedbacks. it will reflect back on both of you and could affect orders, but most likely she will blame you since you're "the baker."

Don't sacrifice quality to meet deadlines. Simply tell customers that there may be a 'wait' time as this is a new business. Meantime, you might think of looking into paying someone to help meet the demand. This could develop into quite the money maker...The next 'Betty Crocker'...maybe :-)

You can only a do so much on your own. As long as you let your customers know that it will not always be the same day then you should do just fine. You need your rest so that you are able to fill your orders.

Yes, you need to have your rest, so you can fulfill more orders. :)
