I don't know who turned me on to it, but @amadeo's recent post about how insulting it is when people text at your house made me remember it. It is funny when the guy searches for his breasts, and when the older lady looks at mom like she's an idiot. But it's also really touching. I actually have to dry my eyes after watching it (don't tell anyone).
Please watch it. It's really well done. Ironic that the Company that made it is (I think) a technology company. Let us know if you'd seen it before. It was viral a couple of years ago, and I still watch it now and again, just to re-affirm my values.

Agreed technology does not replace natural love but being left alone after a few years ...that would be a way to become lonely. It need not be change a cell phone every other year. But knowing how to call somebody when there is an emergency when you are outside home is surely a welcome thing. As to other thing (smses while driving or talking on phone while driving) active campaign against it and making insurance companies participate in reducing such irresponsibility will certainly help.

@vandana7 I agree. And though I'm not usually a "law and order" type (except when it comes to swiftly executing murderers and rapists), I would like to see stiffer penalties (higher fines) and enforcement of the law. Here in CA, it's not enforced at all.

@TheHorse .. I on the other hand am looking at Governments ordering cell phone companies to install an app that assesses the speed at which a person is moving (walking or in vehicle). Based on that disconnect ability to reply either through calls, or through smses. Any company that lets people continue with those features be fined stiffly. Companies are fewer, carriers are fewer, but people are many. Monitoring many is impossible, and Vehicle insurance companies have a lot to gain with such things.
