I'm sorry but I'm so sick and tired of hearing about how the popular vote was for one candidate but because of the Electoral vote the other guy won. Is that going to happen again? Was it Bush Jr who didn't win the popular vote but the Electoral vote got him in? (American Citizens only)YOU did vote didn't YOU?

I did vote. I do think it is time to put an end to the electoral college, then perhaps we would stand a chance of a third party candidate winning.

I wonder how we the people can get rid of that stupid thing. It would really be nice to have someone up there who didn't have the same agenda as both the D's and R's have.

Yes I saw that @cyberrat out of the 4 parties on the ballot the media only reported on 2 of them and the debates were no more than a joke, why weren't the other parties included? I am praying that next time we will finally get a real Native American Chief to run, he'd get my vote in a heartbeat. I wish there were more chiefs like Dan George.

not really did you see how few votes the third party actually got but I do agree that the electoral college should be done away with

I'd say the thing to do would be write letters to your elected representatives saying you want to get rid of the electoral college. Maybe trump being elected will bring about a groundswell of support for electoral reform. If you want people power to win in the future you need to get rid of the electoral colleges as I don't think they serve any valuable purpose.

You got that right. It was implemented back when some states didn't have very many people in them so to even out the voting back then they decided to create this thing ..... butt like the laws about getting fined for hitching your horse in front of the post office or sheriffs office it's no longer beneficial.

Actually it does not really matter since both candidates are the worst ever in the whole history of US. It is just a matter of who is worse than the other. I think those casting Electoral votes will be pressurized.

@rebelann I thought Bush was bad enough, and Nixon obviously was the notorious one, but now you have Hillary and Trump! Even before the election, everyone knows that Hillary is a liar, and Trump boasts of molesting women.

I did vote now we just need to be quiet and watch. He has a bag full of law suits heading his way before he gets into the White House. Lets just relax and watch what happens.

I never vote for the Ds or the Rs they're both corrupt and need to be put out of our misery. Yeah, DT like Obama isn't very popular at this point but the real problem will be all those things that former presidents put in motion way back some of which was put in motion by Reagan. The biggest problem with this kind of government is that we the people don't get to vote on the government that controls what our presidents are allowed to do. Or is that the senate and congress? Thats usually where the biggest problem is in the first place. All that vetoing that goes on every time a new president takes over and then in the past century it's become popular to vote twice for the same president we didn't like in the first place, what's up with that?

This can happen in Australia. The difference is we HAVE to vote - it's compulsory.

Oh my gosh, I had no idea. Maybe that is a good thing, I'm not sure. Here we don't have too and too many do not but will gripe when their idea of who should win does not.

@rebelann If you really don't want to vote, you can stuff it up but I think most people go along with it.
