Too Much Emotions in Social Media

i was rooting for Hilary Clinton to win the presidential election. i'm also in the process of taking in after Trump won. regardless of what happened or what Hilary did, she may be a racist or she may dislike a group of people or culture. she might be corrupt. who knows. she isn't the best of the best. she has political experience. she has more compassion than any other candidates. she's a Mother. she's a woman. reading most of the FEAR tweets, discussions, sad comments and plea-- is honestly sad. people considering to move to a different country... i mean, group of people assuring other people that if they are in fear or has the need to stop practicing their beliefs or culture to avoid violence... it's a lot of fear and emotions and sadness. i know... these are Post reactions. it may or may not change when Trump start working as a President. But he did give the people the reason to FEAR of him. Fear of What he is capable to do. **sigh**

Probably the best thing forUS people to do is campaign for electoral reform as the election is done so no point protesting the result now it'll achieve nothing. If US citizens want people power to be king they need to get rid of the electoral college system as that's why trump has won.

Quite right. Considering the presidential election is a straightforward popularity contest I see no reason why they have to complicate things with the electoral college system. Whoever gets most votes should win. Simple!

@WorDazza exactly Our system is far from perfect and I'd be a supporter of reform to a PR system but our current system is better than the US one in my opinion.

Actually Hillary gets more votes than Trump. If the votes of people count, then Hillary wins, but the system is not like this. Trump loses popularity votes but win Electoral votes.

@therealmaryyy It sure is a strange system created by those early pioneers, and yet this system manages to survive. This just shows that while US can talk about democracy, it is not really a democracy when its people cannot vote directly to get the President they want.

Well I'm scared of what he would do because I doubt he would make America great as he had said.

@therealmaryyy I think that President Donald will be a very different beast to Election Campaign Donald. Much of what he was promising during the campaign will be watered down by wiser heads within the Republican movement.
