Today we witnessed what I had never thought would happen. But Mr Trump is POTUS. It is astonishing for those of us away from the US to have observed the democratic system announce an individual who has said thing in public which should not be tolerated in private. But its fair. There was an election and he won, This now after the recent Brexit begs the question what is a democracy? Who must be representative of the people? What defined a people? Is democracy always progressive? Should the future of an entire nation state be allowed to be determined by the majority? And fundamentally the idea of democracy and its limits in the modern world.
