I don't even know where to start in terms of reacting to this election. I guess my facebook status sort of sums it up best. Yet there is so much more I want to say.
I didn't endorse trump or vote for him. I don't support what he stands for or his policies. (Nor did I support most of Clinton's policy's).
I don't believe the President should use hate and fear mongering as a tactic to get what they want.
The current state of politics is so divisive it is making this country fall apart. There is no more bipartisanship, and by creating that all we are teaching is intolerance.
That being said. Trump, even as the President, is one person. He can't make the laws, or make these grand sweeping changes he promised without the help of congress. Let's hope that congress is smarter and able to rise above. Paul Ryan- this just might be your biggest test yet...
As far as citizens. We need to stop letting the President of the Unite me States lead us down hateful and intolerant paths... We need to stop being so easily influenced by a person who is so far disconnected from the common citizen that they barely live in the same world. That goes for how people think and feel about the current administration and the upcoming one...
