Performance Indicators

In regards to the Presidential election and Trump's promise to make America great again: What are our key performance indicators that will allow us to know when America is great again? Or does the United States just automatically become great in January? What are we using as the benchmark to rate ourselves?
And when we become great again, do we win a prize or something?
These are important questions, because I want to know when we can declare victory on our quest to become great again! You know...so I can collect my prize!

America has always been great. We did not need to reinvent greatness on the ego of the Donald.

I agree with you. Overall, America has been great all along. We've had some ups and downs and a few bumps in the road along the way, but we have always triumphed over adversity. This is just another bump in the road. We'll get through it, because like you said, America is already great!

@JamesHxstatic Hahaha, we definitely need to figure out a way to make America think again! Our public education system certainly hasn't been doing a very good job of preparing us for that! And our politics isn't helping either!

You are right, there is a lot of work to be done, and it's not going to be solved by one man sitting in the White House as president. Any progress we make on the issues facing us are going to be accomplished by hardworking people like you and I.

We're just more efficient with our spelling. No sense wasting time including silent letters in a word! haha

Do we win a "Make America Great Again" hat like the one Trump was always wearing? Is that our prize when we become great again? lol

Abby, I feel the same way about where I live. I live in an amazing community, full of great people. Good, hard-working people. And full of diversity, tolerance and love. I bet this is what most of America is like, but we don't know it because the media is shoving a different story down our throats.

I'm not sure there is a measuring stick on what to look for or when we're going to know, but one of the things might be when the world stops hating us. There was a time when we were looked up to for our technology and way of life. That isn't the case any longer.

There's always going to be some country in this world that hates us, no matter what we do. We are one of the most generous and helpful nations on this planet, but people will still hate us. It's okay by me. I don't think it's our country's responsibility to make the rest of the world happy.

@just4him I agree, I don't like seeing it either. I would prefer that most of the rest of the world holds us in high esteem, but I'm pretty sure those days are long gone now.

Give Trump a chance, and see how he does. He may be a good president, or he may be a bad president. But at least give him the chance.

I don't understand this "America being great again" ... Was America ever called "Great America" like "Great Britain"?... If so, when did America lost it's "Great"?...

I think it was just a fancy campaign slogan designed to stir up interest in the election, and in the candidates.

When the rest of the world stops laughing at your bad choice, then you will be great again. :)
