I was in Thailand and South Korea on official business to attend forums. I visited New Zealand last year with my wife to see our two daughters there. We had stopovers in Australia in going there and in Malaysia in coming home but were only at their airports as we had connecting flights to our final destination.

@amandajay I've been busy with the coming home of my two daughters and the wedding of the younger one and I had meetings one after the other for our hotel project. Am grateful you noticed my absence. I've met some of your fellow Sri Lankans in the two forums I've attended abroad and they're jolly fellows.

@amandajay I've been to Guam, but Guam is a US Territory. So Canada would be the only other country I visited.

I have never actually gone out of the country, not even to Mexico. I have been very close to the boarder but never passed it.

I've been to China, maybe you should try out China. You'll find that the food is exotic such as
suan cai yu (sour vegetable fish), Hong Shao Rou (Braised pork belly) and my
all time favourite is sweet and sour pork, nice and crispy.
China's really big and the people will always be friendly and helpful. Shanghai, Hangzhou and Shenzhen
are good places to explore.

I have not been to any other country. India is such a vast and diverse country with so many beaches, mountain ranges, deserts, rivers and endless religious places that we do not need to visit other countries. I have visited many places in India and I have still to cover a lot.

@amandajay You are welcome to visit India. Moreover, Sri Lanka is not far away from Southern part of India.

@amandajay Thanks! Admittedly, two were whilst a baby and the majority are European; there are, after all, a lot of countries only a few hours flight away. Haven't been outside the UK in over a decade though.

Just my own country. I traveled to different places but I never had a chance to go out of the country.

Canada (only 2 hours away from it), England (the airport in London, but also been to one of their territories Turks & Caicos), France (twice), Germany, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland.
Although I haven't traveled anywhere recently. My passport expired 8 years ago and I haven't enough funds to travel.
