This is a sad reality. I got idea now why my fiancee does not advocate marriage. This day, I learned from him that he does not have religion and only believes that God existed. My Lord, I am A Roman faith defender, and I love God so much with all my heart and soul and here comes the man I learned to love no religion and do not completely believe God.. Though he is a very nice man, but I dreamed of a man to be with me every time I go to church. That is why last Sunday when he drove me to church, he did not enter.I told him to get inside, but he said "no".
Life is nothing without God, so this is my greatest fear of my disappointment. I cannot make it final this time.Only time and God knows.
The feeling is different of both of you kneel together and pray.
Thank you friends, have a good evening from Auckland with love.

Religion could not be a hindrance if both of you respect each other's beliefs, or if you love each other so much. Anyway, it is you who could decide best. Good luck!

@acelawrites, the feeling is bad, me inside the church, while he in his car waiting for more than an hour.Sometimes he roams around the church maybe observing.I told him to get inside and invited him to talk to the priest but he refused.

@SIMPLYD , That is his belief, we cannot convert it. In fact every time we eat, he sees me praying first and mention God. I also want to give him a Holy Bible the next time I come back there hehehe. I do not know if he won't be mad at me.

He is probably afraid that he will melt and turn to ashes if he enters the church just joking my friend and trying hard to cheer you up

Maybe that's your mission friend, to introduce your Fiancé to a religion.

Looks like you are torn between faith and love. This can be quite a sticky issue to deal with. For me when i can't find answers to my problems i'll go down to my knees and pray for guidance. I believe in prayers as many times my problems are lifted through the power of prayers.

You have fallen in love with him and he became your fiancee but why did it take you so long to find out his religious views?

@cacay1 I see! You have much to think about. All the best with your decisions.

I dont think that would be the case. I think the reason could be something different. You know people believe in god yet do the same things. There must be some reason that is in between you and him, and you have to find that one out.
Have a good day ahead.

@DianneN , yes friend, you are super right, he is a very good, caring, thoughtful and nice man, yet so sickly. He almost cannot stand right away,It takes minutes to rise from his seat, and that is due to his Parkinson's.I always on my deep thinking about this problem.

Oh that's unfortunate that your fiancee is the person he is. Is that your cousin with you on the photo? And don't you miss "puto" and "tsokolate"? Hehehe!

well everyone has different beliefs...Even within my family we all believe in diffrent things....but beliefs don't impact how much you love someone. We just need to be able to respect each others choices....then life gets less complicated.

If it is important to you then that is something you should have. It would be nice to have somebody who goes to church with you and prays with you since that is something you want in a relationship.

@Happy2BeMe I hope he is not late to meet and know God in his life now that he is old, the more he should seek God's mercy.

That is sad. I know someone who is a Christian and her husband is a Christian but the husband had a bad experience with a Church he went to many years ago and as a result , he will not go to any Church. He does believe in Jesus, though. But, it really hurts the wife because she would have loved for him to go with her to Church. She still prays he will one day want to go with her.
I wish you both well.

@LeaPea2417 , Though it is true that religion cannot save man's soul, but the feeling is nice and proud to have both of you lovingly pray inside the church.

@paigea yes, you are right, I am so sad. I also miss him and Auckland. I told him I want to live in Auckland and he is the only person who could help me. I hope he understands that if marry me, I would automatically become a resident in NZ. How I like and pray.
