GRUMP.

Generally I try to keep things positive here. It's all part of my evil scheme to be a more positive person. So this is my one and only grumpy post that I will allow myself. Actually, it's still positive because it offers a simple solution, but it still highlights a pet peeve of mine.
My message is simple.
If a person is so inattentive that they pronounce "Electoral College" as "Electrical College," and don't know how it works, they shouldn't comment on the results of a US election. This especially if they don't know how many Senators there are, or how State Representatives are allocated. People like this need to either educate themselves or keep their frimping mouths shut.
I am not at all being unfair, nor am I exempting myself. Before I knew these things, I didn't voice many opinions about politics. I knew that I didn't know.
Would you go to a doctor who couldn't pronounce basic medical terms?
Would you go to a mechanic who called your steering assembly a "thingamajig" and wasn't joking?
Would you respect an accountant who said they would help you with your Texas?
Even more simply put, if you don't know about a subject, don't talk about it. Don't voice your opinion. You don't know enough to have an opinion. If someone else who knows even less listened to you, they could be badly misinformed. Luckily there is a cure for this.
LEARN!

...bwhahahahaha. Sorry, this may have a grumpy rant, but...bhwhahahahaa. I have totally heard that too. And it's a good cry for people being less apathetic and more willing to learn, and then go and actually try to do it

Yeah! Learning is good. That's why it drives me nuts when people - religious figures, political figures, oh wait, they are the same thing, obfuscate the truth so people can't get the real facts.

Well, you know what they say - opinions are like a certain body part, everyone has them and they all stink.

@Rohvannyn I haven't heard that but I'll remember it. Very apt. :)
