The Lovebite

He came to class promptly at seven am. A little groggy perhaps but never tardy. And right when he raised his hand to convey a point, I saw this reddish mark on his neck, partly hidden by the collar of his shirt. Or maybe he never really wanted to hide it. It's not the first time I saw his hickeys. No big deal. He is a very attractive guy so there. It's part and parcel of being single. Strings of hickeys everywhere. Culture-wise, flaunting hickeys is a bit too much for the grandmas in my country. That's something that could earn you a spanking so one has to learn to be discreet. But things have changed. Pearl necklaces and bling blings are obsolete. Hickeys are in. Your hickey stand?

I think it's looks kind of cheap to have those hickeys even if they are faked .. as some in my hay days have faked their hickeys .. lol .. eww! ..

I had to search what those words mean. I still remember the day I had hicheys on my neck. I wore a turtleneck sweater until it disappeared.

When I was growing up, teenagers were the only ones giving hickeys. I got a couple before and was so mad at my boyfriend at the time. I had to hide them from my parents who would have hit the roof. I don't particularly like them but to each his own.

i can do my own hickey when we learned during college years that sucking a soft skin (like the inner forearm) can cause blood to be drawn up in the subcutaneous tissue or the dermis.
