Yes, I Post About MY Interests...

I have a reason for posting this, but I’m not getting into it right now. I rarely post on weekends, and I rarely I post on here when I’m irritated, so just know that something somewhat triggered this one. There are things I like --- wrestling, NKOTB, etc. So yes, I’m going to post about them a bit, especially if I’m excited about something. I use MyLot more as a blog/journal, and a way to interact with people I’ve known for a while, and it’s rare I’ll post about serious topics because I want to have fun on here. We all use this website in different ways, and this is the way *I* want to use it. I never ask anyone to read or comment my posts. I’ve even made it clear when a post is about wrestling or NKOTB in the first few lines, so that way people can hit the back button if they don’t want to read it. I won’t be offended if you don’t read my posts; but watch the comments you leave because I have no problem using the “delete” button, and I don’t care if it causes me to lose any earnings in the long run. I know I’m sensitive, but if something bothers me, then so be it. This is MY account, and as long as I’m not breaking the rules, I’m going to post what *I* want. The back button works wonders for anyone who doesn’t want to read it, but I won’t let a discussion start for what seemed to come across as an insult. That’s really all I have to say, and I’ll resume my usual posting tomorrow. Take care, everyone. Photo Credit: Pixabay.

Here, here. I once got blasted because I always write about music. But that's my passion, so I write about it.

You should write about music! It's what you love, and you can meet other MyLotters who enjoy it. If someone has an issue then they need to just hit the back button and move on, not try to make someone feel bad for it.

Right. It's the first time I've ever deleted a comment on here, and it probably won't be the last, but unless I'm told that I'm breaking a rule, I'm not gonna change my posts up.

And the readers can choose what to read in our posts . They don't have to read those that are of no interest to them . Just go on with what are your interests to post . People have preferences , they just have to choose , but they don't have the right to say any negative comments on those they might not like .

Thanks, girl! I'm already feeling better from it, and I'll continue to post about my favorite wrestlers or band. People are welcome to not read it, and I've been saying that since the Bubble days lol.

That's the wonderful thing about this site. We can write about what we enjoy and no one has to read it if they don't want to. Don't let anyone bother you, keep writing about what you like! =)

Thanks! I'm feeling better from earlier. I certainly plan to keep writing about what I want, and if anyone has an issue, the back button works wonders. And with NKOTB's big announcement coming up in a few days, people can expect another post on it.

There is nothing wrong in posting about what interests you. That is a good way to interact and we can get to know a lot of new things, right? :)

Exactly! I've met several WWE fans on an older site because I always posted about it, and one of them is now one of my best friends!

I think this platform gives you more freedom to be who you are. I might have never discussed many of the topics I did here with anybody face-to-face. I can be the person I want myself to be. There will always be people who discuss or comment or like in order to increase their count, but then you can't do much about it. BUT, if you find any such post offensive or indecent, you are justified in making the person tow the line or censure him/her. Do what you feel is right and move on. You take care, too.

I could've asked what the issue was, but I decided to delete it instead. They're not gonna use my discussion and make a rude remark just to earn more; they should've picked another post. Thanks!

The subjects that interest you are the logical ones to write about. We can always compose better discussions on a topic that appeals to us.

I am sorry that someone obviously upset you, of course, you can post about what interests you and if it doesn't interest others they should just move on. Mean people are everywhere, just block them and forget about them.

I'm glad you like wrestling. I was the top wrestler in my weight class at my high school in Chicago. But I didn't enjoy it that much. So when I went to college, I played baseball and didn't wrestle. I think I liked the team aspect of baseball. Now that I'm older, I play softball, but my eyes aren't good enough for baseball. Who are some of your favorite wrestlers? I respect wrestlers. It's one of the most "straightforward" sports. And wrestlers have a lot of respect of each other. But I don't really follow it. I do follow baseball, though.

Thanks! That's awesome that you wrestled, but I'm glad you were able to find something you enjoy. Oh boyyyy, there's a lot. Shawn Michaels is my all-time favorite; Randy Orton is my current favorite. I also like John Cena, The Undertaker and Cody Rhodes to name a few. I honestly like more of them then I dislike, so I'm barely ever boo'ing anyone at events lol. I respect them all though; they put their bodies through a lot to entertain the fans.

@tammys85 Are these "professional wrestlers"? "The Undertaker" makes me think so. Those guys are incredible shape to do what they do, but I've never followed professional wrestling. Do you follow College and Olympic wrestling as well?

I can feel your irritation. I'm sorry if someone triggered this type of post. Everyone here should feel free to post what they want as long as it's in the rules. I hope you have a better day.

@just4him Awe thanks. I'm glad people do enjoy my posts; I'd rather those who don't enjoy them just move on & not comment. And thanks, I'm basically over it now that I've talked about it & got it off my chest. :)

@tammys85 Why should that change? I enjoy reading them, even if I don't watch them. I like it when people are happy doing what they love, and you clearly are. I'm glad you got it off your chest. It's freeing.

I, myself ask questions or post things I'm interested in too. I don't know why that would bother someone. Just as you said as long as you are not breaking the rules. Some people all they do is complain.

I'm a freelance writer, so I have to choose from various topics and meet deadlines. So when I come on here, I want to write about the things that make me smile; I wanna have fun with it. I can earn a bit here and there, yes, but I've also met other fans of wrestling or NKOTB on by writing about them on here (or past sites like Bubblews).
