What Should My Pleco Be Eating?

I have a pleco that I've been feeding algae wafers, shrimp pellets and tropical fish food (leftovers.) He also has a piece of driftwood to chew on. I also give him zuchini and cucumber but not as often as I should.
I'm wondering if there is something else I should be feeding him and how much. I can't seem to find any clear info. Does anyone know?

Plecos will anything because they are omnivorous. If you have other fish in the tank, they will eat the fish food you drop in there. They really don't need the algae wafers and shrimp pellets, even though I am sure they enjoy them. The Pleco will keep your tank alage free. We have 2 in a 55 gallon tank with other fish (semi-community) and we don't normally feed tham anything special. Every now and again we may throw the wafers or some veggie in there. we actually bought the wafers for our clown fish because they got huge after killing off all of the snails. So many of our fish eat vegetation that they do have to fight for it.

Thank you so much for responding. I feel better now about what I'm feeding him. I do however feel badly that I have him in a 10 gallon tank. I know he should be in a larger tank, but I haven't found a place to put it. I'm not even sure I want to upgrade the tank. I'm going to have to make a decision to either give him away or upgrade the tank. I did not know that he would get as large as he's suppose to until after I had gotten him. Now I'm attached.
