I just got home from doing laundry at a laundromat. I haven't been to a laundromat in I can't tell you how long, but I can tell you it didn't cost $10 for two loads wash and dry. At least it's done and I'm not going to complain about that.
When I got back to the apartment I had some exciting mail waiting for me. My first Christmas card of the season from @Jessicalynnt. Such a sweet card from a sweet person. Thank you so much for brightening my day.
So how was your day, anything exciting happen for you?
Thanks for reading. Picture is the card I got. XXXOOO Jekca

Oh that was so sweet! =) We go to the laundromat too and I don't like it. I can't wait until we move and get a washer and dryer.

What a wonderful greeting to find when you got home. I haven't gotten any Christmas cards yet. I'm lucky that I have a washer & dryer in my house so I don't have to do the whole laundromat thing

I wish I didn't need to do it there, but at least it didn't take all day. If you PM me your address I'll be happy to send you a Christmas Card.

That's a lovely card, I hate having to drag our clothes out every week to the laundromat to get them done but it has to be done. I can't wait till we move in March and have our own washer n dryer something I miss a lot especailly with 4 kids it's a pain.

I'm sure it is. The only thing good about it is the time factor. I don't need to wait for the first load to finish before starting the next. I can get it all done at once.

@Jessicalynnt I think we could all use some good old fashioned holiday cheer. With the prospect of getting Christmas cards this year, I'm actually looking forward to it. I went to the Post Office this morning to get more international stamps, so I'm armed and ready to send out more cards. All stateside cards will be sent out next week.

With my bad arthritis it's on the second floor and I can't make that kind of climb with my knees. It's easier to go to my daughter's, but she never got back to me about doing it at her house this past week, so it was the laundromat for me.
I would love to send you a Christmas Card. Oh, you probably don't celebrate Christmas.

I've noticed over the past few years that I send and receive far fewer Christmas cards than in the past. I think this is mostly due to exchanging Christmas greetings online via Facebook etc. I know people will say it is better for the environment this way, but I miss opening cards and arranging them around my living room.

The only ones I've gotten in the past couple years were from family. I would be happy to send you a card to put up in your living room. PM me your address.

My day was pretty exciting @just4him as I won not one but 2 prizes in the annual Turkey Shoot that my women's golf club hosts. I haven't been to a laundromat in a very long time! No Christmas cards yet, but a nice invitation to Thanksgiving Dinner.

Yeah, clean clothes are nice to have. I still need to buy for Thanksgiving, but right now I'm not sure when I'm celebrating it. My youngest is working next week, and my oldest is coming, but maybe we can have it just once instead of twice. I'm having it the following week with my youngest.
