when I failed to achieve something, I remembered the words of my teacher that: 'something good for us, maybe not the best for us'. So after I hear that. My spirit is getting stronger. <(^_^)>

My husband said that when we did not gain money, we gained experience.

I agree with you, because we all know that 'EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER'

@edogawa_ferdian It is unfortunate that we have a short life to learn all we must.

I try to be positive about things. Most recently, I didn't achieve something I wanted because I wanted a higher grade for my degree. I only got a third. Of course, I was disappointed but, with support from my other half, I was reminded that I hadn't failed because I did gain the degree. I had worked hard for it. I know I could have worked harder but there were, again as the other half pointed out, so many other things going on. I completed something difficult while working, raising a family, caring for family, and doing goodness knows what else. So, rather than saying 'I didn't do that as well as I'd liked', I will say 'I did it, despite all the obstacles'.

When we get what we want, God knows what is good for us. When we get other than what we want, God knows what is better for us. When we don't get what we want, God knows what is best for us.
