My Amazing Basement Bathroom

As some of you remember my husband decided he had to have a bathroom in our basement. He started it this past winter and finally finished in the spring of 2016. He installed a heater in there as there is no heat in the basement and during the winter it can get quite chilly down there. I love it he did a great job on it and even though I didn't much care if there was a bathroom in my basement it has proven to be just what I did want.
The other 2 bathrooms in my house are accessed through someone's bedroom. So when guests are here they have to go into my bedroom to use the bathroom. I was always uncomfortable with that and now they can use the basement bathroom.
We did go with the green marble tile and it cost us a fortune on the adhesive to make sure it stayed on the shower wall. We also used the green marble for the floor. Apparently green marble is porous and will come off the shower wall without the proper adhesive. My husband also made a mirror on the wall of the bathroom with hooks and a bit of the left over marble. And a small cabinet over the toilet for toilet paper also using one whole tile on the door.
All in all, and despite the constant mess for 4 months it's done and I couldn't be happier.

We both love the green marble as well, and even though it ended up being very expensive we are very happy with our choice.

I think so too. At the time I was getting sick of all the mess, but the end result was very much worth it. Thanks

He really did a great job on this bathroom, I didn't do much. Helped pick out the tile and cleaned up all the concrete dust as he had to take out a lot of it and what a mess that was. Thanks.

Thanks my hubby built it from the ground up. I think he did a fantastic job, I too love they don't have to use my master bathroom anymore as well.
