The show 'Intervention' did a show last night called, "Flakka's Five Dollar Insanity". This new drug called 'Flakka' (Alpha pvp or polyvinylpyrrolidone) is made in China and can be bought over the internet (or your local drug dealer) for the price of $5. This drug has hit the Florida area causing innumerable deaths because it is a poisonous, fatal drug. It is stronger than crack or heroine and is 10x's more powerful than cocaine. When this drug hit Broward County, it became an epidemic in just a few short months and cases have increased by 60% within the last 2 years. This drug has long-term affects; provided you live very long. It can be smoked, eaten, snorted and shot up causing immediate addiction. Brain damage, night terrors, dementia, psychosis, loss of memory, focus, loss of communication, paranoia, can't read and causes the person to have super-human strength, cardiac arrest and high body temperature. It appears that Florida is the testing ground for this drug and the dealers can spend only $1500 on the product and make $50,000.
