The fashion for red roses symbolising love started with the Robbie Burns poem, which begins "My love is like a red, red rose". Burns was an 18th century Scottish poet, and red roses have been the symbol of love every since.

It is believed that Red Rose signifies LOVE. Yellow is for friendship. Since Rose is cheap and best, they prefer it. Giving Rose is the best way to propose, if your proposal is rejected, not much of your money will be lost. Don't ever risk giving costlier gifts while you propose, you'll have to buy many more afterwards if she accepts you.....LOL.

There are all different ways to propose. I love red roses, but not because of what they are supposed to symbolize, I love them bcause I love the colour. I love white roses too. I love the two colours together because of my Danis and Canadian flags.
