What do you think, was he serious when he was saying everything just to draw attention and get voted by many Americans?
Realistically spoken, archaeologists alleged that the wall would be almost impossible to build, and that would cost over $25 billions.
As a president he can surely afford such ridiculous amount, as 1 million is only a "small loan" for him.
Do you think he was talking about a real wall, or anything that will make him president and maybe now he won't even think about that?
People think that is impossible, but Trump winning was impossible too before the election for many people.. and now.. Just saying.

I think he was/is serious about doing something about the border issues, what it'll be I don't know.

While being interviewed Trump was asked how he would make another country pay for something the Americans did? He gave an unclear response something about being bigly and making it huge again. What might be clear is that plans are to be kept secret behind closed doors or there isn't anything concrete?

Speculation for sure. You are so right that time will tell and become history once more. I suppose it all comes down to money and anyone from a business background would think this way.
What gets to me is the viewpoint shared by many Americans. They say they have lost jobs and their standard of living is not as good as it could be. Okay. But wasn't it not cheap labour that business took advantage of in the first place. Business sent manufacturing elsewhere to take advantage of lower production rates.
Another countries economy can become dependent on a foreign investment and the threat or action of any foreign power will make them produce more bricks for less for the pharoah's pyramid or in this case wall.
I could be totally wrong with this economic analysis. And like you said along with trade comes more complicated issues that will always need attending too.
This is all very complicated. I don't think want to be leader or solve all the problems in the world. So I may choose to withdraw.

@Bluedoll I was talking about this with people at work.
We came to the conclusion if trump says pay for (or a portion towards) the wall or face trade embargoes the mexicans may well do it.
But on the other foot the mexican leader may lose face to his electorate if he gives in to trumps demand.
In a way it is pointless speculating...we all need to just wait and see.
And what trump says is true, a lot of bad stuff goes on on both sides of that border and something should be done.

That's a tough one! Is Donald Duck serious? It will be a waste of money and not very effective unless the wall went deep into the earth and extended into the ocean? To Hawaii perhaps. Who knows.
On a more serious note trade embargoes and immigration policies are economic walls I guess.

I was under the impression that he had confirmed that he will be building a wall. How he will justify spending money on it I'm interested to see!
